DETAILED ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

On arrival you will be met by a representative of African Angel Tours and transferred to your accommodation.
Mountain Lodge is located in the central part of Kenya and you will arrive in good time for lunch.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Lodge (full-board)

 

 

Day 2: Mountain Lodge to Samburu National Park
After breakfast depart for Samburu Game Reserve. You will arrive in good time for lunch at your accommodation. In the afternoon you will take part to a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Shaba Lodge (Full Board)

 

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

Morning and afternoon spent on a game drive in the reserve. All meals and overnight stay at Samburu Shaba Lodge (Full-board)

Samburu forms part of a large complex of National Reserve consisting of, the former, Buffalo Springs and Shaba. The Ewaso Nyiro River flows in Samburu National Reserve and is the lifeblood of the animals and the Reserve. It is also a central feature of the landscape. Situated in the northern province of Kenya, this Game Reserve is arid and home to a myriad of animals.

En route to the reserve, one encounters striking features such as the crossing of the equator in Nanyuki and the background of Mount Kenya as you travel towards the northern hemisphere. Huge Blue Mountains in the horizon along with the white of the snow-capped Mount Kenya are quite warming to visitors.

The Samburu people inhabit the region and are pastoralists and nomads. Their intriguing cultural practices and values are a landmark for the tourism industry in Kenya.

 

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in good time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon you will take part to a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. (Full-board)

Nakuru means "Dust or Dusty Place" in Maasai language. Lake Nakuru National Park, close to Nakuru town, was established in 1961 and is home to thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans. This exotic park boasts of a rich concentration of wildlife including black and white colobus monkeys and is also a rhino sanctuary. Look for temperamental black rhinos browsing in the bushes, and larger white rhinos cropping grass along the lakeside. Nowhere else will get a photo of a rhino with a back drop of pink flamingos sifting food from a shimmering lake. 

 

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast depart to the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in good time for lunch.
In the afternoon you will take part to a game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge (Full-board)

Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round.

 

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Morning and afternoon game drive in the reserve. All meals overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge (full-board)

 

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi

After breakfast depart for Nairobi via the famous Maasai town known as Narok, drive through the spectacular Great Rift Valley arriving in the afternoon and thereafter transfer to the airport for your outbound flight. (B)
